My Eighth Month

I have changed so much this past month. I am now sitting up by myself and am learning to drink from a cup. I am eating a great variety of solid foods that Mommy, Daddy, and Gramma make for me. Guess what I got for Christmas? My two front teeth!

I got to celebrate my first Christmas and my first Chanukah. I had so much fun picking out my first Christmas tree and I got so excited each night when we lit the Chanukah candles. I opened so many gifts and I loved each one! My Auntie Michelle and Uncle Josh were with me for almost 2 weeks over the holidays. One night we all went out to look at Christmas lights... it was beautiful. Check out the Santa hats Gramma found. What a perfect find!

While Auntie Michelle and Uncle Josh were visiting we all took a trip to Marine World. I got to see the biggest camel I had ever seen and I even got to meet Daffy Duck. I loved Daffy's beak.

The day after Christmas we had a big party at our house and guess who came to see me... my Great Grandma Marion!! She came all the way from Washington! She loved holding me and I loved being in her arms!

Bubbie and Grandpa also came up to visit me this month. We got to celebrate the last night of Chanukah together and they got to babysit me on New Year's Eve. The plan was for Mommy and Daddy to stay around until I fell asleep and then Bubbie and Grandpa would have an easy night of babysitting, but I had other plans. How could I possibly sleep when Bubbie and Grandpa were right downstairs wanting to play with me. Finally Grandpa came into my room, rocked me, and gave me a pacifier. He is such a sucker... Mommy would never let me have a pacifier at night.

The first day of Bubbie and Granpa's visit we all went up to Apple Hill wine tasting and for a picnic. It was a beautiful day and I, of course, was on my best behavior.

Mommy had lots of fun with the camera this month. She loves taking cute pictures and video of me. Check out my adorable hedgehog onesie that cousin Julie sent me. How did she know that Mommy has always wanted a pet hedgehog?! Look how cool I look in my biker onesie from Great Auntie Pam. I can't believe I'm not the only one who would rather ride than take a nap. I have turned into quite the dancer. Although I get a bit of stage fright in front of a big audience, I love grooving to Choo Choo Ch'Boogie. I have also learned to love the sound of my voice and enjoy "talking" real loud.
