My Seventh Month

Let me start by giving you some great news... Kila is still with us!! She seems healthy and is acting her old self again. We have no idea how long this will last, but it is truly a miracle that we get this extra time. I must be really special because before I was born Kila didn't like children, but now she kisses me all over and I have even learned to gently pet her (which she loves!) We love each other more every day.

This was another busy month! It all started when Pete (who visited me on his way down to Disneyland during my sixth month) came back to visit me on his way back home to Washington. This time he brought his whole family! I loved meeting the girls... they were so nice to me. I even got to eat lunch with everyone before I took my nap.

The next visitor I had was Ryan. He is an "Intel friend" of Mommy's and Daddy's. Ryan helped Mommy surprise Daddy by helping paint and put up molding and baseboards in the nursery before I was born. Ryan loves doing work like that! Daddy was in Asia for work at the time, but when he got home, boy was he surprised! Can you believe it has taken Ryan this long to come see me... hopefully I'll see him again before I get married.

Guess what else I finally got to do this month! I went to my first Kings game and guess who won! I was very excited before we even went inside Arco Arena. In fact, I think the parking lot was my favorite part! Once inside, I loved watching all the loud fans and hearing the clapping. We even got to stay out past my bedtime, but don't worry, I managed to take a short nap during the game. I got to see Mommy and Daddy's friends (Albert, Joanne, and 2 of their many kids) who they met when they used to sit by them at the games. Albert loved holding me and the family even got me an adorable Kings outfit and blanket... I am totally going to wear that outfit at the next game I go to!

For Thanksgiving Mommy had a week off from school and so we went down to Southern California and spent a whole week at Bubbie and Grandpa's. I had so much fun! Every night felt like a party with new visitors. Everyone held me, and hugged me, and kissed me... It was so exciting I never wanted to go to bed. I had no idea Mommy had so many friends and relatives!

I got a lot of fun toys from some of my new friends and it wasn't even my birthday! I loved playing with all of them!

While visiting Bubbie and Grandpa we all took a walk to the park. I got all bundled up for the cold, but it was pretty warm outside. I watched Daddy play basketball and then I had a blast on the swing, slide, and other play equipment!

When we got home from Southern California Grandma surprised me with an adorable Shrek Santa hat. Do I look cute or what?

Mommy couldn't resist taking these cute pictures of me right after my bath. I was soooooo happy. She did her best to make them not too embarrassing for me when I get older, but every baby needs naked pictures of themselves.

My Sixth Month

I had so many visitors this month. It all started with my Great Aunt Jane and Great Uncle Jim who came all the way from Juneau, Alaska! I wish they could have stayed longer. I loved "talking" to them. Next, the Murrill's came to visit. The last time Mommy and Daddy saw them was when they told them Mommy was pregnant and showed them the ultrasound picture of me. I got to meet "little" Riley. If he grows up to be as tall as both his parents then Daddy is looking forward to knowing his first NBA player. Later in the month Jamie and Mike came to vist from Oceanside. Mommy has known Jamie since kindergarten and Daddy met Mike in high school. Jamie and Mike met each other when Mommy and Daddy were getting married. At the end of my sixth month, Daddy's friend Pete came to visit from Washington. Mommy and Daddy hadn't seen him for close to ten years.

One evening Mommy took me to a girls only slumber party. Mommy enjoyed the "girls only party" part of the evening while I loved the "slumber" part. The next morning I got to meet Baby James and see Baby Mykaela again. I can't believe Mykaela, who is one month older then me, is crawling already and is standing up and walking while holding onto her crib railing! Mommy is very happy that I'm not at that stage yet.
This month we found out that my doggy, Kila is very sick. She has air leaking into her chest, pushing against her lungs which makes it hard for her to breathe. We don't know how much longer she will be with us... it could be one more day or a few more years. When we found out this terrible news Mommy and Daddy took a ton of pictures with me and her. This news came right at the time when I finally started to be aware and love my doggy. I laugh and smile whenever she kisses me... of course we had to get that on video. Sorry there are so many pictures and videos; Mommy just couldn't resist.

Besides playing with Kila all month, some of my other favorite activities were watching t.v. with Daddy (especially when he let me have the remote), bouncing in my jumperoo, and biting Daddy's nose. Be sure to watch the video showing how much fun I have when Daddy lets me bite his nose. Also, I went to my first trip to My Gym and I learned how much I love to hang around.

Guess what! Every Monday I get to hang out with Lilly all day long. Gramma agreed to babysit her once a week. 2 babies?... what was she thinking?

I had a great first Halloween! Gramma made my Shrek baby costume and the whole family dressed up as the Shrek family. Daddy already looks like Shrek so he didn't really need a costume, but he wore one anyways. Mommy, Daddy, Gramma, and I started the evening trick or treating at two of our neighbor's houses and then we headed to Folsom Zoo for more candy and fun. Terri, Steve, and my Auntie Meagan met us there. We got to see a tiger, birds, and monkeys. Then we went on a ghost train ride. I wasn't scared at all!
