My Eleventh Month

I've really grown up this last month! I have four teeth now, I'm crawling around like crazy, I love feeding myself finger foods, and I'm having so much fun standing up! I'm starting to get very curious about these things called "no stairs." I celebrated my first St. Patrick's Day and had a blast. Mommy even gave me a special St. Patrick's Day cup! She knows how much I love my cups! Can you believe I kept those crazy pom-poms on my head all night?! Mommy's student was on T.V. doing Irish Dancing so she recorded it and watched it with me. I had no idea how much fun Irish Dancing could be! No matter what I'm doing if Mommy turns the dancing on I stop, watch, and dance! Unfortunately I got sick for the first time later that night, but luckily I got to enjoy the holiday first.

I went to a couple more Kings games this month. During my second game I went to in my life we got to hang out in a suite! Can you believe that?! It was so loud and fun! I was screaming and dancing! I even got on the big Kings Vision screen so everyone could see me!

Look at the trouble I got myself into. I was just trying to go the shortest route possible to reach the remote and I got stuck... I was not happy!

Let me tell you a little story. Once upon a time there was a wonderful road called Folsom Dam Road. It allowed easy access from Folsom to Roseville. Well, after 9/11 the federal government closed the road down because they thought it was a terrorist risk. Folsom residents now had to go through town, drive through old, Historic Folsom on one lane, and cross over a tiny bridge in order to reach the main road (this was part of Mommy's commute to work everyday.) This historic route was never meant for so many commuters, and traffic and businesses suffered. Folsom officials got on the ball and decided to build a bridge next to Folsom Dam Road and they were able to expedite the project! It has been almost exactly two years since the groudbreaking ceremony and the bridge finally opened! We went to the celebration festivities on opening day of Folsom Lake Crossing Road. It was a long, crowded walk, but the weather was perfect and so was I! I'm so happy that Mommy will now have a shorter commute and can get home quicker to spend more time with me!

At the end of this month I went down to Southern California during Mommy's spring break. We started off in Oceanside where I met up with my cousin Abby at Legoland. Everything was made out of Legos! I got to see Las Vegas, Washington D.C., San Francisco, New Orleans, and New York... all made of Legos! I had a lot of fun and even got to go on some rides!!

After Oceanside we headed up to visit Bubbie. One day while we there, Mommy and Daddy took me on a hike. We saw a huge snake and then we got a bit lost. It seemed like we were hiking forever. Somehow we ended up in a residential area, but we have no photographic evidence of anything except a wonderful, fun hike.

While I was down with Bubbie I got to visit my Southern California friends. Anna was so nice to me; she made me feel right at home by sharing all her toys. I loved her shopping cart filled with groceries... I'm going to be quite a shopper someday.

On my last day in town, I got to play with my cousin Abby. She taught me how much fun The Wiggles are. After Abby and I played awhile, Grandpa finally showed up from Texas! He loved playing with his little girls. He even tried to race me around on all fours! Mommy let me stay up past my bedtime so I could spend some extra time with him. When it was finally time for me to go to bed I gave him a big kiss goodnight. I can't wait to see him again!

These are some cute "just because" pictures that Mommy took of me this month and wanted to share.

My Tenth Month

I started a couple things this month. At the very beginning of the month I started eating Cheerios. I love feeding them to myself! I'm getting better, but I still don't always make them into my mouth. Mommy says she finds Cheerios all over the house! I also started crawling this month. I have officially crawled, but I prefer not too. I would much rather just sit or stand. I can't wait until I can walk! I already can pull myself to a standing position and try to walk all over the place when Mommy, Daddy, or Gramma are holding my hands. Once I can walk I will really be moving around!

I have experienced so many different types of weather all in one month! I got to see snow, rain, and sunshine. I still haven't decided which is my favorite.

Uncle David flew in to see me on my nine month birthday. Mommy even let me stay up late so I could visit with him when he showed up past my bedtime! We had a very fun weekend! We went on a picnic, watched a movie, and played together. When I took naps or went to sleep for the night he was always at my crib ready to hold me as soon as I woke up. He gave me so much attention! I loved spending time with him and can't wait to see him again!

I had a wonderful, first Valentine's Day! We had a few friends over for dinner. Daddy made filet mignon and king crab legs. It smelled so good; I can't wait until I can eat it! Daddy bought Mommy beautiful red roses. I even got presents!

After Valentine's Day we went to San Jose. I had a blast... as always! I loved hanging out with all my cousins and having cousin Jeffrey hold me. I hope he enjoyed holding me because I need a cousin in San Jose my own age to play with. Can you believe the size of the stuffed animal doggie that cousin Lisa gave me for Valentine's Day?! I don't think I'll ever be that big! I really enjoyed dancing to the La Bamba donkey! I love dancing!

I went back up to the cabin in Sonora this month. This time Gramma and Auntie Michelle came with me and when we got there Great Auntie Anne and Cousin Lisa were eagerly waiting. We had a lot of fun! Mommy decorated the cabin in pink and even dressed me up to match. There was snow all over the place. It was so neat to see all the white powder, but I sure didn't like falling into it! The car ride home was the worst part! Check out my smiley face and outfit before we pulled out of the driveway to go home and then check out my change of clothes as we were almost home. Mommy said I got the car sickness gene from her... thanks a lot! The whole weekend was quite a fun adventure!

I had my first Korean barbecue experience when Zach came up to visit from Oceanside. I was sooooo good! We were there for about 2 hours and I didn't cry at all... I know plenty of other ways to be noisy without crying.

Auntie Meagan came to visit again. I love playing with her. Mommy helped her pick classes for next year. She is going to be a sophomore in high school. I can't believe Mommy was her teacher for four years, starting from second grade! Am I going to grow up that fast too?

I turned into quite a messy eater this month. I perfected my art of raspberries during mealtime and boy can I spray the food everywhere! I love this video! Mommy says it's the only thing she can think of that gets me to sit in her lap without wiggling. I just stare and laugh while I watch myself act silly. No wonder everyone loves watching me... I am so funny!

This picture was taken especially for my Great Cousin Jenny. She just got her tonsils out so I was saying "ahhhhhh" just like she had to do. I hope she's feeling better and that I get to see her soon!
