Summer Days

Boy, do I have a ton of pictues to share with you! We were having computer problems so I haven't been able to upload any photos until now and I still can't get the videos to upload... sorry!

Mommy is finally on summer vacation! YEAH!! We have been having so much fun together! We started the vacation with Gramma on a 12-hour drive to Washington to visit Auntie Michelle and Uncle Josh. I was super good on the way up and the way down... both Mommy and Gramma were very impressed. Auntie Michelle's house had the most beautiful backyard I had ever seen! I loved playing in her backyard, but also loved going with Gramma, Mommy, and Auntie Michelle shopping at garage sales. Just look at this pretty hat that someone wanted to get rid of.

While in Washington we got to go to the Portland Zoo. I was so excited! I love going to zoos, but I never went to one with dinosaurs... I'm definitely not a fan!

One day Gramma and Mommy took me to the Children's Museum in Portland. I always have fun at children's museums! I got to build with light up Legos, climb into a tree, shovel fake dirt into trucks, play with water, and even face paint! Mommy was glad that Gramma came so Mommy could take pictures while I painted Gramma's face instead of hers.

While we were in Washington we drove up to Seattle for a couple nights to celebrate Cousin Alyssa's graduation. The first night we stayed over at Great Auntie Kathy's and Great Uncle Rick's house. They had a fun piano to play with and lots of yummy food!

I even got to spend one night at Great Grandma Marion's house. Unfortunately, Mommy forgot to bring my bed so I had to sleep on the floor. That didn't work out to well during naptime when I'd much rather play.

I loved seeing all my Gendron family at Alyssa's graduation party, but one of my favorite parts was the cake!

Guess what was waiting for me when I got back from Washington! It was a puppy!! I love Nemo! When I first met him I wanted to do everything he did: I tried sleeping in his kennel, I wanted to go potty in the backyard, I even ran up and bit Mommy just like Nemo does. Almost everyday I tell Mommy and Daddy that I love Nemo.

You will never guess who I got to see in person... ELMO! I could hardly control myself as Mommy, Daddy, Gramma, and I were heading to go see Sesame Street Live. I couldn't wait to see Elmo and Abby. I was screaming like a teenager as soon as all the characters came out dancing on stage. What a great day!

One day this summer Mommy and I had a "Mommy-Kaylie" day. I got to go to my first movie and I made it through the entire show! We saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. I spent the first part of the movie asking where the meatballs were.

I also got to go to my first baseball game. I loved all the music and people! I spent most of the game with my back to the field as I danced and tried to get the attention of everyone around me. It worked too... I got free ice cream and was even offered some cotton candy. We stayed for the entire game so that I could see my first fireworks show. At first I was a little scared, but I quickly grew to love them.

The next day was the Fourth of July. We spent it at my friend Joe's house. I love hanging out with Joe and I even got to see more fireworks and do some of my own!

A few days later was my parents' anniversary. They decided to spend it in the most romantic way possible... at Fairytale Town! It was so much fun! I went down a ton of slides, got to sit on Mother Goose's lap, and even met Mary's lamb! After Fairytale Town we walked to the park and fed the ducks Cheerios.

Another activity I got to do with Mommy this summer is get my first pedicure! I picked out the same color Mommy had and even got a little flower on my toe just like her too! My toes are so pretty now!

One of my favorite things I have been doing all summer is swimming in my new pool! I am having so much fun swimming almost everyday! I am so brave in the pool... a little too brave, but it is just so much fun! I love my turtle that Uncle David gave me for my birthday!

Look Who's 2!

Guess, who's 2!

We spent my birthday painting our new house two days before the big move-in day. Mommy picked up some of my favorite chow mein for dinner and then later we all took a five minute break so I could blow out a candle on a cupcake and sing Happy Birthday. Two weeks later we celebrated my birthday in style with a Mickey Mouse themed birthday party. Everyone showed up... even Bubbie, Grandpa, Uncle David, Auntie Avie, and Uncle Arnie from Southern California were there! I couldn't believe that everyone came to see me! I got so excited everytime the doorbell rang! I ran to the door and gave each new guest a great big hug. I got so many cool new things! I love all my gifts!

This is me the day after my party. As much as I'm sure Daddy would love to take credit for his stylish hat, I must say that it was all my idea... I insisted that he wear it.

A week after my amazing birthday party, we headed to the cabin in Twain Harte with James and Mykaela. While there I went fishing for the very first time. I had so much fun catching 2 fish and even loved eating them! Grandpa would be so proud of me! I also, got to go on a pony ride. I could have ridden the pony all day! Daddy tried to get me to go in the lake with him, but the water was FREEZING! No way Daddy! When we were hanging out by the lake I went on a swing and liked it... I normally want nothing to do with swings, but a girl can change her mind.

I love being cute!

Hi Y'all

Guess where I got to go during Mommy's spring break... TEXAS! We were there with Gramma, Auntie Anne, Uncle Bruce, and Cousins Lisa, Jeff, and Flora. Mommy and Daddy didn't know if we would make it there when I woke up the night before our flight with a 103.4 fever, but we did! Luckily my fever went down and we did a ton of fun stuff. We started our Texas trip in San Antonio where we stayed right by the Riverwalk. The day after we arrived I got to go on a boat ride on the river. The next day Mommy, Daddy, Gramma, and I all went to Sea World. When we first got there we had to rush over to the Shamu show because it was just about to start. Well, that meant that the only seats left were in the splash zone. Boy did we get wet!! It was like a tidal wave and I did not like it at all! Although, I spent most of the rest of the day without any pants on, I really had a blast! I tried to pet dolphins, we saw a sea lion show, and went inside an aviary. We stayed to see the most amazing show ever... Sesame Street on stage! By the end of the day I was able to stay awake long enough to play in the kids' water area, and then was asleep before we left the parking lot.

The next day Gramma and Mommy took me to the Children's Museum. It was unbelievable! I got to dig in sand and pretend I was an archeologist, play with a giant Light Bright, be in a bubble, play house, pretend I was a pilot, go shopping and a ton more stuff too!

That evening, Daddy and Mommy took me on a horse-drawn carriage ride. I had been begging to do it and I was not disappointed. I loved it!

One day we went out to eat on the Riverwalk and I choked so bad that I threw up all over Cousin Lisa. Poor Lisa, she had already changed her clothes earlier that day because a birdie went potty on her and now I did this! Well, at least I got a cute picture out of it when Daddy cleaned me up in the bathtub.

The next day, Mommy, Daddy, and I headed to Austin to go visit our friends, Tom, Tami, and Brett. Brett was so nice. He took me out on my first date and picked me up in his convertible Mustang. I was traveling in style... until it ran out of "gas."

One evening Daddy, Mommy, Tom, and I went out to eat at the Salt Lick. Daddy knew he couldn't visit Austin and not go to the famous restaurant. It was a long wait to be seated, but in the meantime I just danced to the live music. I was even good during dinner so Mommy ordered me a scoop of ice cream. I may have to be good more often.
Tami has her very own horse. While we were in Austin everyone kept asking me if I wanted to ride it. I can't even stand a carousel ride so why in the world would I want to ride the real thing?! Then they told me if I rode a horse I would have to wear a helmet (or as I call it, a "horsie hat") and even tried one on me at Tami's house. Forget it!! Well, we drove out to the barn anyways, hoping that I would change my mind. As soon as I saw the HUGE horse, I couldn't wait to ride. I let Mommy put the horsie hat on my head and I was ready to go! Horseback riding was my favorite activity in Texas! I can't stop telling everyone about it!
