My First Month
I was born at noon on May 6, 2008 (just in time for lunch.) Daddy was hoping for a Cinco de Mayo birthday and when Mommy's water broke at 9:30am on May 5th, they both thought it was going to happen, but I had other plans. I weighed 7lbs 2oz and was 19 inches long. My first month went by so fast. I now weigh 8lbs 15oz and am 20 inches long. Mommy and Daddy say I changed so much in such a short amount of time!
During my first month I met lots of friends and family. I was very lucky to get to meet Grandma and Bubbie right after I was born. 
Also during my first month I got to see Mommy's school and meet all the teachers and baby Mykaela. It was a wonderful outing for both Mommy and me.
Zak and Sara stopped by the hospital and became even more eager for their little one to arrive.
Terri and Auntie Meagan also came by the hospital for a visit and loved meeting me for the first time.
We had to stay in the hospital an extra day and so it felt extra good to finally come home.
Mommy got to celebrate her first Mother's Day the week we came home! Since she was still recuperating she decided to celebrate it with some take out from Taco Bell and a movie (which she of course didn't make it through before falling asleep.) 
During the month we had many visitors. My new family from Mommy's side came up to visit from Southern California so I got to see Bubbie again and meet Grandpa, Auntie Rebecca, Uncle Chad, Cousin Abby, Uncle David, and Cousin Andy. It was a very special time to have everyone travel so far to come see me. 
Also during my first month I got to see Mommy's school and meet all the teachers and baby Mykaela. It was a wonderful outing for both Mommy and me.
On my 4 week birthday I got to play supermodel for a day. Babies 'R' Us did a great job during the photo session. You can't even tell that I was crying the entire time... they're amazing!
There were many other wonderful firsts throughout the month: Daddy enjoyed giving me my first bottle and I gulped it down. Together, Mommy and Daddy gave me my first bath (I didn't enjoy it as much as they did.) I loved being a "surfer girl" on my tummy time mat, but my favorite activity of all was chillin' in my bouncer.
