Keeping Busy

Even though Mommy's back at school we have still been keeping very busy.  I went to the California State Fair where I saw huge goats and cows.  While there I got to go inside my first petting zoo.  There were so many animals everywhere I didn't know what to do!  I loved it!  I even got to pet a deer!

Guess what Mommy and Daddy made for me!  My very own playroom!!  I finally have room for all my toys and space to run around!

I went back to Lake Tahoe again.  While there I went on a hike to Eagle Rock.  Look at me at the top of the mountain!  I could see the entire Lake from the top.  I also got to go see salmon spawning... Grandpa would have been so jealous!  On our way to see the salmon we stopped to take a picture at Mommy's favorite childhood spot.  She would go to Tahoe Cedars Lodge every summer, but now it's up for sale... does anyone have 15 million dollars they can spare?

Look at the pretty bows Mommy bought me from her friend April.  I love asking to wear my new bows.  I am well prepared for long hair.

End of Summer Vacation

Well my summer vacation with Mommy is now over as she is back at work for the school year.  We kept busy until the very end!  The weekend before she went back to work Mommy and I flew down to Southern California together to visit Abby and my new cousin, Baby Molly.  While down there I quickly learned a new word, "baby."  Abby and I went swimming together, played with her bubble makers, and I loved playing on her slide!  Grandpa was in town too and boy was he surprised to see me!!  I can't believe we kept my visit a secret from him!  Bubbie and Grandpa took me to the zoo and I finally got to see in person all the animals I have only seen on t.v.  The giraffe was my favorite!  After the zoo we went on a carousel at the mall.  I made it through about half a rotation before I cried until they stopped the ride... maybe next time I'll enjoy it.

The weekend after Mommy went  back to work we flew to Seattle for my cousin Rochelle's wedding.  I have been on so many flights that I now know the sign for airplane!  The wedding was so much fun!  I danced and played with everyone!  I got to see Auntie Michelle and all my great aunts and uncles.  I stayed at my Great Auntie Pam's house along with a lot of other relatives.  My Great Uncle Joe loved playing music with me each night... maybe one day we'll start a band together.

This was just a cute picture Mommy took of me playing with my water table.  I thought my water table was fun already, but wow... it's a lot more fun once you add bubble solution into it!

Look what else I learned to do recently.  It's all fun and games until I get stuck!

Yes, I am crying in this picture.

Aloha

Mommy's summer vacation is almost over and boy are we ending it with a bang!  We just got back from spending two weeks in Maui!  We stayed at a condo with Gramma, Auntie Anne, and Uncle Bruce or as I call them "Mama, Aaa, and Br."  Guess who stayed in a condo four floors below us... it was Uncle David and Cousin Andy!  Ken, Ranna, and Joe even showed up during our second week.  I had so much fun entertaining everyone!  I was really well behaved on the airplane trips.  We went on four flights and I was only awake during one take-off.  My behavior after the flights was a whole different story.  Mommy and Daddy say that as soon as the plane landed I started my "terrible twos."

Although, I tried to make it difficult to leave the condo we still went to a lot of fun places while we were in Maui.  We went on a hike through a forest, we saw sharks at the Maui Ocean Center, I learned how delicious root beer floats are, I watched birds on the ground and enjoyed pineapple slices when we went out to eat, and at a luau I discovered macaroni and cheese and I danced along with the hula dancers while putting the dirt from the ground all over my face.

My favorite parts of the day were playing in the condo with the toys Mommy and Daddy rented for me and of course all the swimming!  I swam multiple times a day!  It didn't matter if the sun was shining or the moon was out... I had a blast!  My swim lessons continue to pay off!  I loved swimming in both the pool and the ocean.  I didn't even mind when the waves splashed all over me!

My least favorite part of the day was sleeping.  There were so many people around I just wanted to hang out and entertain everyone all day long... starting from about six in the morning.  At home I sleep until around 8am... Maui is a whole different story.

Gramma thought she was so tricky, sneaking me some ice cream when Mommy wasn't around.  Did she think Mommy wouldn't find out?  That's O.K. Gramma; it was way worth it!

Uncle David and Cousin Andy left the day before we did, but they insisted on staying until I got up from my nap so they could say "good-bye."

The day after we got back from Maui the fun continued at Lily's first birthday party.  I helped Lily break in her new pool while she napped.  When she woke up we got to use the pool together for a little bit and then it was my turn to nap.  With our opposite sleep schedules I'm surprised we ever get to play together.
