Happy Happy Holidays!

So many holidays, so little time. My holidays kicked off with a trip to Southern California for Thanksgiving. I had so much fun with Bubbie and Grandpa! I love Abby and Molly so much that I still can't stop talking about them! I wish I could do everything with them!

I think this was my most exciting Hanukah yet! Each night, I said the prayer with Mommy and then was very good about only opening one present. I also did a good job of not blowing out the menorah filled with all those "birthday" candles!

Every year Mommy bakes cookies to give to all her friends for Christmas. This year I got to help her! I was a big help... and I hardly ate any chocolate chips!

Although, Christmas hasn't come yet I've been celebrating for awhile now. It started with a trip to pick out a Christmas tree.

Santa was everywhere this season! I first got to see Santa at Daddy's work. I couldn't wait to tell him I wanted a reindeer for Christmas!

Next, I got to see Santa at a brunch for Daddy's work. It was so much fun... they even had dancing there!

Finally, I got to see Santa at Folsom Zoo. Mommy, Daddy, and Gramma took me there to see the holiday lights decorations. We met Hailey, Rob and Erin there. Since, we went at night many of the animals were moving around.

I also got to build my first gingerbread house. Hailey came over and we each got to make our own. I was nearly successful at not eating any of the candy... the frosting is a different story.

Some of you may have heard the sad news of my favorite mall closing because of a man coming in and starting a huge fire. It closed the day after Gramma had taken me to go on the carousel ride. I had saved one token for the carousel to use on a different day and now the carousel was closed! I talked about going back on it everyday and Mommy told me I would go back on it once the fireman were done cleaning up the mess from the fire. Well, after nearly 2 months I got to go back to the mall and ride the carousel! Mommy even let me ride it twice! Gramma came with us and we met Miss Terri there. We ate lunch together, went shopping, and went on more rides! The trip was well worth the wait!

And for the big holiday news... meet my new baby brother or sister! Baby Gendron/Smith is due August 1st. I can't wait to meet my new friend! I told Mommy I hope it's a boy. I'm already being a great big sister by taking care of Mommy. She explained to me that she can't carry me anymore because it can hurt my baby so I'm happy with just holding her hand... "I don't want to hurt my baby."

Trick or Treat!

I think I'm in love with Halloween! My "Halloween Season" got started with a trip to Bishop's Pumpkin Patch with Hailey. I got so excited to see her that I couldn't stop screaming. Before we left I told Mommy that I wanted to pick out a tiny pumpkin. When I got there, I insisted on picking out a tiny, green pumpkin... it was just too cute! There was so much to do there. I loved the pig races and am still enjoying playing "pig races" through my house.

I could not wait for Halloween weekend! It started with us carving our pumpkins. I loved the Mickey Mouse jack-o-lantern Daddy tried to carve for me. Later I got to put on my hula costume. I had been telling everyone for months that I was going to be a hula dancer for Halloween. I danced and played with all my friends who stopped by before their big Halloween party.

Guess who else stopped by that night to say "hi" before she had to fly away. It was Mary Poppins! I couldn't believe she came all the way over just to see me! I couldn't take my eyes off her! I showed her how well I hula dance and I gave her a big hug. Mommy said Bert was going to come over too, but the only person that came over with Mary Poppins was Jeff.

More Summer Days

Mommy's back in school now, but I really enjoyed the end of my summer vacation! The ice cream man finally came through our neighborhood and I got to meet him for the very first time. I still try to listen for the music from his truck every night. I love the ice cream man! I also went to the California State Fair twice this year! I got so excited to go that I started screaming as soon as we stepped through the gates. There was so much to see and do! I went to the petting zoo and got to ride the carousel. I am finally not afraid of the carousel anymore. In fact I will talk about it NONSTOP until Mommy and Daddy finally let me ride.

No summer would be complete without a trip to Lake Tahoe with Bubbie, Grandpa, Auntie Reenie, and Uncle Peter. I loved being at "Bubbie's House!" I went swimming in both the pool and the lake, I went on my first bike ride with Mommy and Daddy, I insisted on hugging my first tree, and I had my first ice cream cone.

My favorite part of the trip was going river rafting with Mommy and Daddy. It was so much fun! I loved rowing the raft and enjoyed swimming in the river. I was even super excited to go on the bus ride back! The only part that got me a little frazzled was when the dirt got my pedicure all dirty.
