My summer is proving to be quite adventurous! I have been having a blast doing a ton of swimming. I love how Daddy helps teach me to swim nearly everyday!
Early in the summer Mommy, Daddy, Gramma, and I went to a Kings special reunion event at the new Powerbalance Pavilion. It was pretty exciting! I finally got to meet Bobby Jackson. Daddy has been talking about Bobby ever since he played basketball with him a couple times at the gym. I was so impressed that Bobby knew my Daddy. I also got to meet Doug Christie and Mommy got her jersey autographed by him. But I was most excited to give a big hug to Slamson! I wouldn't stop talking about him until I finally got to go meet him!
My next big activity was a day at Fairytale Town with Mommy's college roommates. They all had little girls and I had a lot of fun playing with them. It was quite a memorable reunion!
Father's Day was great! I made Daddy 2 presents. First, Mommy took a picture of Nemo and me to put in a picture frame I made for him at school. Next, I painted Daddy pottery. I wanted to tell him everything I made so bad, but I made sure to keep it all a surprise until his special day. When Father's Day finally arrived we took Daddy out to Joe's Crab Shack for lunch and then headed to the California Train Museum. Mommy knows how much Daddy and I love crab and trains!
My next trip of the summer was to Lake Tahoe. On the way up I begged Daddy to stop the car so I could play in the snow. I never made a snowball before. I knew I was going to Tahoe to see some surprises and boy was I surprised when I saw Bubbie, Grandpa, Auntie Rebecca, Uncle Chad, Abby, and Molly. We went fishing, on a bike ride, and out to dinners. I love them all so much! We got to hang out with them for 3 days and then it was on to Rob's cabin where I got to play with Hailey and Colin. We went on a bike ride, a boat ride, played at the lake, and saw fireworks.
Now for the biggest news of my summer... I am officially a big sister! Octopus arrived on July 6th. Since he didn't quite look like an octopus we decided to name him Kyler Gendron Max Smith. He weighed 6lbs 8oz and was 19 inches long. After I was born with a full head of dark brown hair, everyone was surprised when Kyler came out blonde. He came about 3 weeks early, but is doing great! Mommy and Daddy weren't quite ready for his arrival, but have been busy working to better set the house up for a baby. Mommy was in shock when her water broke around 1pm while we were out to lunch with Miss Terri and Auntie Meagan. Little did Miss Terri know when she agreed to go to lunch that she would be babysitting me the rest of the day. She drove Mommy and me to meet Daddy at the doctor's office and then the hospital where the nurses said the c-section would happen around 5pm. Around 3:30pm Miss Terri and I gave Mommy hugs and kisses and I was off to my house for a nap. Miss Terri brought me back to the hospital later that night so I could meet my baby brother. The next day Gramma had arrived from Seattle to see Kyler and me. I missed her so much! A few days later Bubbie flew up to see us too! Mommy says that Uncle David, Auntie Rebecca, and Grandpa are going to come visit soon also! I am having so much fun being a big sister!
